Well we all know about the piston slap issues on certain years of the B230 engines. I believe mine has it. But I'm not planning to fix it. I do have the head off right now though, and was looking inside the cylinders and saw these marks:



The compression numbers were good before head was removed. I'm just wondering if these marks are an effect of piston slap. I'm not talking about the cross hatching, it's those discolored areas near the top of the cylinder. Any thoughts?
