right turn signals stuck on 200 1992

Sigh... the title just about says it all.

I finally got everything all put back together after doing a bunch of things in the engine compartment, and, with some great tips and help from you folks here, the engine sounds GREAT!.. Very smooth. What a thrill to hear it roar to life after a week of doing more than I've ever had the guts to do before.

On the other hand, there's rain on the parade. When I hooked the battery back up, the right side flasher lights came on and stayed on.. even with the key off. I can't leave the battery hooked up, obviously. The left signals work correctly when the car's running. The emergency flashers come on when the switch is thrown, but do not flash. The "bulb out" indicator is lit, but all bulbs seem to be good. Headlights, lo- and hi-beams, are fine.

Sooo.. what would cause the right turn signal bulbs, front and back, to remain lit even w/ the key off and out? Kind of inconvenient to disconnect the battery every time you shut off the car.. sigh. It didn't do this prior to my work of front. The battery was disconnected for about two or three weeks.

Ideas? I'm in a hurry to solve this one. THanks.

Barry
