Instrument Cluster Lights Go Out Intermittently and Act Weird 900 1994

I have a 1994 940 s/w. My intrument cluster lights go out intermittently. When I turn on the head lights, the cluster is dark, except for the left turn arrow, the fog light indicator, and the blue brights indicator. All the rest is black.

Once in awhile, the cluster lights up like normal. What could be the problem?

I wondered about getting to the back of the cluster to see if anything was loose, but I don't know how to do that.

I'd appreciate any ideas on trouble shooting.
