I work as a traveling recruiter and my dear '92 240 sits for a couple months a year, save a few mercy starts here and there to make sure it's still alive.
I have finished my travel and I am now seeing smoke coming off my head pipe once I come to a stop - It appears to be a liquid burning off the y-pipe section of the head pipe.
I am trying to figure out if it is trans fluid or oil - FYI, the headgasket, valve cover and rear main seal (IPD metal seal) are all in great shape. Car has never traditionally leaked any oil or trans fluid (read: never saw liquid beneath car) and I am wondering if this is related to the car sitting for a 30-40 day period between starts.
Any input would be great - Also, there are NO idiot lights, car shifts perfectly, oil level is normal.
Thanks all!
