It was the o2 sensor - loss of power solved!!!! 200 1990

With the help and suggestions of many I replaced my 02 sensor with a $40 universal fit bosch sensor and my problem is gone!! Pulls strong and cruises at 75 without a hiccup.

Thanks pageda for talking me out of the direct fit sensor!!

To recap and hopefully help someone else out in the future:

Had been having loss of power issues during light accel and while on hwy. Felt like someone was pinching the fuel supply and then releasing.

Here's what I did / replaced

*Replaced intank pump, and sender unit (post op showed intermitent pump AND wiring was bad on sender.
*Full tuneup (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filter, flame trap, TB clean, clean electrical grounds)
was markedly better but still some symptoms
*Replaced fuel filter - no change
*Replaced 02 sensor after (4) 2-1-2 codes and sensor failed voltage test

Car runs great... a failed 02 sensor can cause driveability issues!!

Thanks everyone...
