I've noticed a couple of times when I start my car first thing in the morning , esp when cold, that when I turn the ignition key to start position, there's a 1/2 second delay of silence with nothing happening, before I hear a click of a relay behind the dash toward the passenger side , then the selenoid / starter engages turning the engine quickly and car starts and runs fine. The timing of the relay click also seems to be tied to the red seat belt light. I fiddled with the fuel pump relay , but that's not where the click is eminating from . Seems there's another relay in there somewhere that's getting lazy .
The battery is brand new. Car has never failed to start . But this delay is unsettling as cold weather approaches. Seems that a relay is getting sticky ?
Any ideas which one ? I appreciate any leads ... Todd
