Hi all,
I'll be travelling up north for a short trip next week (from KY through Michigan to Toronto and back) and am considering getting some snow chains in case things get dicey.
I just ordered a set of Michelin X radial's (all season) from Sams Club, they have a sale going on if anyone needs to know (buy 4 Michelins get $70 back)...195/75/14 is ~ $70/tire and interestingly, 205/70/14 is $86/tire. Since the circumf. is just about the same and the section width is only different by 10 mm (>1/2") you can guess what I got.
I'm not looking for snow tires since this is just a short trip and I am already getting new tires...so I figured chains or cable are a good way to cover the bases.
Any tips/lessons from experience/links would be greatly appreciated!
God Bless,
Koos
