I have been having wiper motor problems. I have gotten 2 different motors from the PUP. This last one was the same as the original-wipers were running slow and than they would stop.
My wife drives this car (92 245) so I want to get this thing straight ASAP-with the winter season on it's way it's a must.
I visited Dave Shannon's page on wiper motor repair. The original did have a loose magnet on the inner housing. Soooo....
I glued it back on, then the other magnet came off, glued it, tried to put it back together and accidentally busted two of the brushes.
Tried to switch brushes from non-compatible '87 motor and the brushes were too big for the '92 motor.
Got another motor from the PUP today and installed it after checking out the internal magnets. I got the same results as the original motor-slow speed and NO speed!
Has anyone used the Scantech motor? I know all the rubber parts are crap that they make but what about their wiper motor?
