Got a new quote from aftermarket Volvo place, front struts, $363.00, rear shocks, KYB "gas filled," $167.00. I was told that one of the struts was "leaking." This was what got all this started after I asked when I felt like the car wasn't riding well. Further, I am getting some wear on my front tires in spite of balancing/alignment, etc.

Not sure if I mentioned in the original post that the car is high mileage and has never had shocks struts on it.

All of your info has been VERY helpful and I appreciate it.
