Hello all,
I only have a couple of posts on here but have been lurking/reading for quite some time and have learned a lot(huge understatement), this Board and the help available here is amazing. I believe, no, am certain there is no way I could afford to keep my 86 240 on the road myself without B.B.
On to my question, this past Saturday, I was pulling out all the carpet in my car to shampoo it and check beneath for rust? I had to loosen the two screws at the bottom of the center console to move it out of the way slightly, I carefully separated it from the dash and since I was curious, peaked in behind at all the spahetti. Well, I discoverd 4 loose wires, blue/yellow, red, green and black. Currently neither the A.C. or Heat work in the car, the previous owner thought the A.C. switch was bad and by-passed it and ran a toggle switch wich when flipped will turn on the compressor. This did not solve the problem so he concluded that the blower motor died. Now, are the aforementioned wires the actual issue or related? I looked in my Chilton at the Wiring Diagram and if I read it correctly, these are in fact related to each other, by the way, these are all bound together with a red/white(I think) wire. I apologize for the lengthy description, hoping to be clear and accurate.
Any help with I.D.'ing these would be appreciated. I'll try and include a couple of phone pics. I snaaped at the time of discovery.
Thanks again,
Antonio
