too stupid to check the oil in wife's car.. now need motor swap advice. 200 1993

93 245 automatic LH2.4, nice body, 230k, lost the motor tonight. have a 91 partscar with 19x,000 5 speed LH3.1, should I- change motor and trans, convert to 5-speed, swap engine only (automatic works fine, only slight preference for 5 speed) forget the whole damn thing and buy another car. I am very well equipped to do the swap, but are there any pitfalls I need to know about, model year differences? I'm planning on keping the LH2.4 intake and stuff with the car, swapping it onto the new older motor. any ideas or experiences?
