Sway bars 200

Someone asked yesterday if sway bars were standard or optional on the 240s. Brickboard crashed as I was about to respond, and his post was deleted as the board was again up and running. Here's what I tried to respond:

Sway bars were indeed standard, but the size varied quite a bit (years/models). To the best of my knowledge, this is what I have found for cars sold on the Scandinavian market. Please feel free to correct possible mistakes.

Standard wagon:
Front: 19 mm
Rear: 16 mm from 1980, earlier cars had none.

Turbo and GLT wagon:
Front: 23 mm
Rear: 19 mm

Standard sedan:
Front: 19 mm
Rear: 19 mm

Turbo and GLT sedan:
Front: 23 mm
Rear: 21 mm

242 GT 1978:
Front: 21 mm
Rear: 25,5 mm

242 GT 1979:
Front: 23 mm
Rear: 23 mm

Regards,
Erling, Norway.
