I am in the middle of washing and waxing Brunhilde, our white 1991 745 Turbo SE. She has the fully blacked-out trim, not a bit of chrome on her (even the grille is factory black metallic) and is really pretty when clean and nice. Except for the missing parking/turn signal light lenses. But I have a full set of E-code headlights/corner lights on the way for her.
But, the black-out trim and silver Draco wheels got me thinking: Many aftermarket wheels come in different colors, like charcoal, black, etc. And, on a white 745 with fully black trim, black Dracos might look quite good. I'd think that any reputable and good quality wheel refinishing company could use black paint instead of the stock silver. The only difficulty I see is getting the black "Volvo" logo on the silver center cap done in silver on a black center cap.
Your opinions and thoughts, please?
After I get her all pretty again (parked at work every day for a week under a tree with lotsa birds who pooped purple poop). I will take a photo and try to photoshop up an image of her with black Dracos.
