Mysterious steering clunk 200

I am the proud new owner of a 1990 240 wagon that came with a clunk.

The clunk is interesting in that it only clunks when the steering wheel is turned to the right and then back to the left and then just before the wheel gets to straight, CLUNK.

The car must be in motion for the clunk to occur. The clunk will not occur when the car is jacked up with the front wheels off the ground.

The clunk only happens when turning left after turning right and ONLY one clunk, just before the wheel returns to straight.

I thought the clunk was coming from the driver side but the more I listen it could be in the center.

The steering is a bit 'loose' but that may be unrelated.

The tie rod ends look good but I'm not 100% sure and I haven't checked the inner's.

The rear control arm bushing appears to be tight and in good shape but again, I'm not 100% certain.

Upper strut bearing?

Anyone want to place their bets?
