HELP!! Low Voltage Issues 700 1992

Hey folks,

My 92 740 turbo is being very problematic with its voltage output. Initially the suspect was alternator. The tech at my battery shop tested my new battery as good and alternator as low output after repeated dead battery problems. Ok, so new alternator right? Replaced alternator and started having voltage issues again after a few weeks. So I had the tech at Autozone test and confirm low output on new alternator. Bad alternator? Refunded and replaced it a second time...want to guess what happened a few weeks later? LOW VOLTAGE AT ALTERNATOR AGAIN!!

Now here is the part that really threw me. After completely dying and refusing to start again I got it jumped and quickly got it home. With it still running I tested at the alternator and WALLA! Voltage was within proper range 13.4 volts. After a couple restarts the darned thing was putting out low 9 volt readings again. I put it on a trickle charger and got my battery up to 12.4 and it has held there with out any charging or running, so its obviously not draining while not running.

Ohh one other possibly related issue. I have had occasional stalling problems under hard breaking or abrupt stops since I got bought it. Bad connection? Ok, but where??

I am suspecting the battery ground line but I'm not entirely sure. I'm hoping I dont have to deal with the darned wiring harness replacement because that's completely outside my budget (IPD $390). I know this was a long ramble but I hoped that providing all the info would lead to a better informed solution because I am swinging in the dark right now.

HEEEEEELLLLLLP!!
