My 93 940 would not start one morning with no previous symptoms. It turns over but I determined that neither the ignition system nor the fi sytem are working. The car has a REX1 ignition system and 217k miles.

Thus far I have swapped out the coil/power stage, the ECU, and the crankshaft position sensor.

The next logical step seems to be to replace the ignition control module.

Where is the ICU in the car? How do I get it out? Neither my tech manual nor the Volvo dealer is much help.
