If it's of any interest, your 140 wheels will work quite nicely on Volvos three generations and 25 years newer. Here they are on my '95 854. I like the look.

No clearance issues - the rear calipers come close but not too close at about 0.1".

Unclear to me whether the 140 hubcaps will work with the 850's lugbolts. I was able to find a couple of the stainless caps but neither of the other parts.
