This isn't the 1st. time I felt stupid 200

Hi, It's one of the times when you want to kick your self in the ass.I have been chasing a problem on start up the engine would stall, then 2nd time it would idle O.K.Then after warm up on a drive I would stop put in park and the idle would be between 1100 to 1200 RPM's.You end up jumping in checking all the possible problems ie.clean throttle body, adjust base idle, check for vac. leaks, temp. sensor, grounds, wires and connectors and ECU.You go over and over an over all these things until you sick."THEN" tonight I just happened to look at the THROTTLE SWITCH it has 3 connections,1st from bottom ground 2nd.??? and 3rd.power. So at some point will fooling around with the engine I must have pulled the connections and put the yellow wire on the middle spade connector. In my defense on a 85 240 B21 FT the intercooler hose covers the throttle switch.SOOOO after all the testing and cleaning and testing it was a simple problem.I have tried to find out what that middle spade connection is for but couldn't find anything.Anyone have an answer for that? I hope this can help someone and not have to go through all that I did when it was my own mistake in the first place. Charlie
