B230 rebuild dilemma 200

Okay, I am in the process of replacing the engine in a '93 244 that I bought for my daughter. The current engine which I removed from the car yesterday had thrown the #1 rod right through the block. When it did this it also somehow trashed the intermediate shaft sprocket and the shaft itself. Now, I have another B230 from a 740 that I'm going to rebuild for this car. Since the engine is from a 740 it doesn't have the driveshaft for the block mounted distributor. I'd planned on using the one from the original engine but since it's broken I have to figure something else out. My plan is to scavenge one from a B21 I have from one of my parts cars. My question then is this part the same and will it work? Like so many of the rest of you all I'm trying to keep my costs down on this build so I'd like to use the parts I have at hand. Thanks, Charles
