I am curious. I have read posts about popping door hinges, and the consensus seems to be to make sure that it is clean and then there has to be lube in the cavity that the spring sets in.
I have one door, the drivers - that is dealing me fits.
What about the two little serrated wheels? I have cleaned and cleaned and placed lube (maybe not enough, as I think on it)in the whole area. The spring seems to slip on the wheel, making the pop. Would that indicate a wheel that was not turning free enough?
Is the wheel sticking (and fixable) or do I just need to concentrate in getting as much lube in the spring cavity as possible?
