Hope someone can give me some ideas where to go next. The initial problem was the car would randomly die ...like a switch was cut off.
Replaced with new in this order.
>fuel filter and check valve
>In tank pump with new sock; fuel pressure regulator
As I have been typing this, my wife has called and the car has stopped twice in the last 30 minutes. It restarts after setting a minute or so. She did say this time it felt like it died more gradually. She also noted that the turbo gauge was down all the way, but did not really note what the tech was doing on either event.
This may be not relevant, but I had an 89 760 that done this same thing. It was the distributor shaft wobbling/moving enough that it would cause it to die. Upon replacement with a used one from Big Harry, that never repeated. That unit had a hall switch connector though ..may be completely different.
Please help me.
I have a loving wife, but I am not sure how far love will carry me in this.
Ques..I wonder if I got the in tank pump in wrong, or the sock crossways?? It was tough to get it in, but all seemed fine afterward.
