sunroof outer seal repair 700 1990

90 745 sunroof outer seal has split fore and aft -- that is, the fabric cover has split lengthwise. Inner surface is still firmly attached to the sunroof panel but the rubber welt inside is free and the outer surface is flapping in the breeze. Anybody had success gluing these back together? What did you use?
