Need to take off transmission and replace torque converter.... should I try to salvage fluid and not put new in? Have heard that if I do not know of the fluid change history, I should NOT change the oil in order to prevent CAUSING more problems with tranny. Fluid is red, as it should be, and doesnt smell burnt. seems to be okay as far as level is concerned.. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated..
