Alt swap with generator wires? 120-130

Hello All,

I just pick up of a new and cheap Bosch alt for a 140...
I found a simplified-wiring diagram on line (posted below)...

I had a chat with my neighbor who is a mechanic who says I can just wire the alt in just as the generator is wired... with no modification?

Is this the case?
