Leaking Sunroof on my 780

OK I know we have been through this several times before .... but after following the advice of cleaning out the drains for the sun roof, I am STILL getting drenched in the car wash and if the inner slide is closed the water comes down through the dome light. Other than using duct tape and sealing the thing shut ... which I am really loathe to do .... I priced a new rubber seal at Halifax VOLVO and damned near passed out at the I think it was CDN$434 .... I am back to scratching my (wet) head. Anyone got any further suggestions besides wrapping a tarp over it ?
