Update on the 89 240 Turbo 92 b230ft.Still have starting problems :(.. 200 1989

Hey gang.Well some of you know i have been trying to get this car running as now im running out of time and im moving in the next 20 days here..

Anyway went out and got a new head gasket and head bolts since there was a bit of water in the oil and sure enough the head gasket was wrecked at cylinder #1 and # 4 was bad too.Threw the new stuff on and torqued it down to spec.I also bought a new coolant temp sensor the one that controls fuel and spark..

Hit the key and all she does it pop.Least i got the timing spot on i went to the jy with a protractor and pulled the timing :-D.So that's at least eliminated.

Out of the few random try's it did run on all 4's for about a few seconds and sounded extremely healthy.

Now im starting to wonder if there's a ecu issue here.There is a 3 year gap between the motor and the car...Here's the current set up in the car.Oh and this car is a factory LH2.4 car...

1.N/a injectors (from old motor)
2.N/a ecu
3.N/a ezk
4.Turbo fuel pumps
5.N/a Amm
6.N/a fpr
7.New ngk plugs
8.New plug wires

Yet it won't really even want to start on this set up.I do have the computers from my 92 940T that i could try i guess.All it does is pop and occasionally fire then dies.There is no longer a huge cloud of blue smoke pouring out so that problem is gone.

I wonder if there's a certain set of computers i need in order to get this thing to run...


I also wonder if my current ground wire set up has any issue i have it like this..

1.Ground to + terminal on the starter (think this is wrong and should be on the - terminal on the starter)
2.1 ground strap from valve cover to upper wiper motor area
3.One to the block
4.And one to the chassis on the driver side fender area.

And there is also a yellow wire hanging out with a spade connector that i can't figure out where it goes or what it does.

And now i have one left over which this harness is from my 940.And i did try and attach it to the engine mount but i just got a ton of arks and that messed up my damn - terminal on the battery a little so i dunno what gives...

Any idea's are helpful :-D
