Challenge: diagnose this mystery whine! Win a prize! 200 1991

You know those gaily-colored tubes that kids whirl around to make a low whistle sound? Or blowing across a bottle top? That's what I'm hearing lately, independent of engine revs or transmission gear. In neutral, coasting, I still hear it. I'm suspecting a driveshaft bearing. It's been soaking-wet here and while I'd heard this noise off and on over winter it never really manifested much til the recent thaw and drenching rains.

1991, M47, 148K miles, no known repairs to driveshaft.

Oh: I meant my car's whining, not my whining, thx.

Oh II: the prize is... um... something. Let me rummage through my parts box. A broken clock? Hm... ooo! a working original vintage FPR! What? Oh all right. I'll keep digging.
