'88 DL cranks over but won't start... any ideas why? 200

Last Sunday, I hopped in my car to head home after church and my '88 DL wouldn't start. It had started and driven fine on the way to church, but just turned over without starting two hours later. It has a half tank of gas, I got an orange spark to jump from the spark plug to the engine block when I pulled a plug and wire, and it didn't start when I sprayed starter fluid in the intake tube. I also lightly tapped on the main fuel pump and the intank pump with a piece of wood in case they might have been going out, but no luck. Both fuel pump fuses are good. The fuel pressure regulator is only 1 1/2 years old, newer air filter, plugs about one year old. What else should I look for? I would like to get it going this weekend and welcome any advice. Thanks
