1990 240 Wagon, 226K miles
So I feel like a bad brick owner. I haven't even looked at my differential since I got the car back in 2000 (136K). It now has 226K on it and I figured I'd drain the diff oil and refill it. I just wanted to make sure of a few things.
The procedure for draining is
1. Open the fill plug first (to make sure I can fill it again).
2. Drain it out from the drain plug and replace the drain plug
3. Fill till it comes out the fill plug hole.
And for the oil I can use Mobil 1 75w90 or comparable Synthetic.
Anybody see anything wrong here or am I way over complicating thins and being paranoid?
