I can't seem to find any one answer in the archives, so I'm hoping for some suggestions/solutions regarding my battery and its fitment.

The car is an '86 240. Where was the positive post originally? Seems to me it should be inboard, and I'm thinking of buying a battery that's so oriented.

Is this acceptable--and why or why not? Thanks very much.
