stumped by torque rod bushings 900

I bought my first volvo 940 after admiring volvo's engineering, ease of maintenance, built to last quality and comfort. Probably my two favourite things about the car are its turning circle and I have never broken a bolt on it.

It's a 91' 940 auto 16v with 200,000 km, a mint body and interior with a full service history.

So far I have replaced shocks, struts, IPD sway bar kit, ball joints, outer tie rods, all brakes and tires.
I have also given it a full service with all fluids, timing belt, ignition components, belts, axle seal and engine mounts.

Im currently working on getting all the bushings 100%. So far I have replaced the cone shaped ones in the front suspension arm, the driveshaft support with bearing and the track rod bushings.

I believe I need to replace the torque rod bushings because they seem pretty soft and I still get vibrations under medium to hard acceleration from a stop. I believe the axle is twisting and straining the u-joint.

I need some advice from people who have done this job before. I got the lower torque rod bushing on the diff free, realized I would have to remove the drive shaft and perhaps the exhaust resonator to get at the other four. I had a real fight with the axle twisting out of position get that lower bushing back in place and getting the bolt in. Should I remove the springs to keep the axle from twisting? Is there a procedure to make any of this easier. I have access to a lift. Will this cure my acceleration shudder?
