Trim color 900 1997

I want to replace the plastic molding that is in place around the LH side of the driver's seat. Like many, I suppose, the plastic has become brittle and the forward screw mounting has broken off.
The car is a 960 wit that popular teal blue paint and a light beige interior.
I went to the dealer to get the molding. He was unable to get the trim color from the VIN. I have a choice of either a "beige" or "oak" colored molding.
Any ideas?
