Hi all,
My new-to-me 240 decided to give me some issues today after a 2hr trip in warm (for New England) temps. It seemed to run perfectly fine (even with a/c!) on the trip until I got off the highway. It then bucked, would not idle except with some throttle input, smelled like fuel and seemed low on power. This continued all the way home (10mi or so).
Of course as soon as I got home I switched the AMM from our other 240. It didn't seem to help. Then I tried the computer and that didn't seem to do much of anything. Now of course, I can't get either car to do it again with any combination of parts. This is not good since I need to get to work 2hrs away again tomorrow.
When I got the car I did the following:
wiped out throttle body (didn't seem dirty so I didn't bother taking it off)
cleaned IAC valve
replaced FPR
replaced in-tank fuel pump and sender
The car is a '93 LH2.4 AW70 with a -951 computer and 230k mi.
I think that is all the pertinent info, so... ideas?
Thanks for any help!
