Since I've had my 1992 745 (over 480,000 km on it now), the driver's door has not been easy to open from the outside. The "trigger" has to be pulled all the way and the handle needs a tug. The other doors pop open quite easily, but the driver's door sometimes feels like it's locked, if I didn't know better. When I open the door and then flip the latch mechanism with a screwdriver to where it would be with the door closed, it won't flip to the open position if I pull the outside handle trigger, only if I pull the inside handle. When I do this with the other doors, the latch mechanism flips back to the open position when I pull the outside door handle trigger. Clearly, something is worn or needs adjustment. Is there an easy fix I can do before the door won't open from the outside at all?
