91 240 OEM repair manual question, also shift lock solenoid removal

Does any one know if volvo actually made a OEM service/repair manual for the 240s from the 90s? I have a haynes, bentley they are not always that great with breakdown drawings. I am trying to figure out how to get to the shift lock solenode on my 91 240 automatic trans. shifter. It looks like I have to remove the entire shifter to get to the shift lock solenoid, I am going to remove the thing, less problems in the future. I still have to study the electrical drawings to see if it will effect any other problems in the vehicles systems if I remove it electrically also.
