Looking for info from a 1965 PV544 Owners Manual 444-544

This question is related to the wiper thread I started earlier. I was hoping someone on the Board would have access to a late (12v) PV544 owners manual. I'm trying to find out if '65 PV544s were provided with one or two speed wipers. For the life of me, I can't understand why 4 wires are required in the harness to connect the switch to to the wiper motor if it is a one speed motor.

If anyone has a late model owners manual, I'd appreciate it if you could pass along what it states with regard to windshield wiper operation - thanks!
