Fuel Pump Relay Clicking 200 1984

Short story: 84 245--Engine revving and stalling coinciding with the Fuel Pump Relay clicking rapidly. Always starts right back up. Sometimes it clicks and stalls twice in five minutes. Other times in runs fine for 40 miles with the occasional click but no stall.

Long Story:
-It's been idling rough for a year but not enough to worry about.

-Wouldn't start in the rain a few months ago, took it in and got a tune up--new belts, distributor cap, plugs.

-Ran fine for a couple of months, still with the rough idle, until one day it stalled on me twice. Took it in--they cleaned throttle body.

-Got it back from the shop and it still was stalling (it only happens occasionally so it's easy for the shop to miss it). I read here about fuel relay switch problems. Replaced the relays (this car has two identical ones in the passenger side foot well). Still had the problem. It was then I started noticing the clicking coinciding with the stalling.

-Back to shop. Explained the clicking relay. They 'fixed' a loose wire at the coil ($90). Got it back and its still clicking and stalling.

-I ran it while fiddling with various wires with no results. I shut it off and fiddled a bit more after it cooled, and then it wouldn't start. Back to shop for the third time in as many weeks. They said broken wire to the coil, and ran a new one to the fuse ($150).

-Today...still stalling.

Any suggestions?
