Removing adhesive around windshield and rear window 120-130

I am still preparing my 122S for a trip to the body shop for a repaint. I have removed all the trim, bumpers, lights, door handles, door glass, door glass channel, etc.
A glass expert today removed the windshield and rear window, but left on the car is a dried up very very hard adhesive. Is there an easy way to remove this dried up 44 year old Swedish adhesive besides grinding it off ?
