M4 transmission front seal 444-544

I have my M4(not M40) transmission out do do a clutch job, and while it's out I was going to replace the front seal before putting it back in. After taking off the front housing I couldn't find a rubber seal, just a sort of Archimedes' Screw for pumping fluid back towards the box. Is this all there is?
