Brunhilde needs new tail light lenses. Do I have to replace the whole tail light assembly? At FCP and Tasca Volvo it seems that way. Is there a big difference between the URO parts light assemblies that FCP sells ($59.00 each), and the genuine Volvo (Cibie) ones (about $100 each) that Tasca sells?

The guy we bought Snuggle Bunny from mentioned that he has noticed the lamp sockets on the aftermarket tail light sets would melt after a while. Is this true of all makes of aftermarket? If I can find new lenses, can I put them on the original Volvo assembly that is in the car?
