Carbureted 760GLE engine swap 700

Hi all! An uncle of mine owns an '84 760GLE. It was a Special Delivery to Colombia (south america) and came with Renault's V6 carbureted engine. It has a manual transmission with 4 gears plus an overdrive (OD button on the knob). Finding parts for this car has become very hard, as all American 760's came with FI engines. Can this engine be swapped with the I6 of a 960? What about all the electronics, ecu, etc? Has anyone done this before? Is it close to a "direct fit" on the engine bay and transmission? Thanks for your help and advice.
