no power window switch 200 1989

i have power through the fuse but not to the red power wire at the door jamb. it has broken in past, but the pwer doesn't even get to the wire on the power/fuse side of break.
am i looking at a break in the foot or so of wire left to fuse or something else.?
at least the windows are stuck in 'up' position. course, it is 60 and sunny today and stuck "down" would be better. phew :)
