over the weekend i picked up a wagon with perfect body paint and a roof which had been resprayed sometime back because of clearcoat peeling.

the roof color is sound but the clearcoat has failed once again.

today using razor blades i stripped all the clearcoat off the roof without damaging the color coat.

can i spray a new coat of clear over the base color or must i re paint the entire roof with base and then clear?

if i can spray a clear over the current color coat suggestions or techniques/methods please!
