correct procedure for adding oil to new compressor? 900 1993

Am installing a rebuilt Seiko Seiki. Thanks to David Hunter for the tip about bypassing the high temp switch! Now I have to fill it with oil - according to the FAQ and other online sources, it takes about 7.5 ounces of PAG 100. That seems like an awful lot! My question is - do I ad ALL of that to the compresssor at the ports, or can I put some in the dryer and other places too, since I have the whole system open? I remember that when I converted my other 940 to 134a, the conversion kit had far less than 8oz of oil in the bottle - and I couldn't get all of it into the compressor. Anyone have tips or advice or any experience with this? Thanks!
