Exhaust replacement, '95 945 with EGR 900 1995

In the last few weeks the exhaust on my '95 945 (NA) has gotten pretty loud. I'm presently of the mind that if I' going to start crawling around under the car I might as well replace everything in sight. My car has the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recycling) system and I don't really know what that means aside from the extra plumbing on the exhaust side of the engine.

If I do a downpipe-back replacement of the exhaust (including the cat), can I order the standard Starla system from a place like eeuro or IPD?

What do I do if the downpipe has holes in it? I haven't seen the EGR downpipe for sale on any of the online vendors - is it dealer-only?
