My 1991 240, 140,000 miles, is well basted in engine oil on the right (exhaust) side of the engine.
The PCV is clear, the engine uses Mobil 1, compression is 195 in all four cylinders evenly. When I was employed I did drive it on occasion on the 7 mile round trip to work and the occasional weekend highway cruise.
The oil appears to be seeping from the front main bearing seal I guess, yet could it be the oil pan gasket? I recorded six images so if someone can identify an oil leak pattern, I'm appreciative.
The seals were replaced (not by me). I have to replace the water pump, timing belt, both motor mounts, so front seals are no problem. It appears to be leaking out around the the rear half moon valve cover gasket seal, also, but not so much as to cause drips down the engine rear. The starter motor is dry save for usual road grime.
It may be a small amount considering the crude oil hemorrhaging into the Gulf of Mexico. I'd rather it not leak.
