Fuel pressured line leaking. 200 1990

While changing out the under carriage fuel pump I must have twisted that line from the fuel filter to somewhere up front. Now it’s leaking. Not bad. Just kind of dripping a very little. It starts right up as normal, but I only drove it around the block since changing the pump.
I read in the archives that particular piece of fuel line is no longer available as a replacement part and folks have been able to do some patching with high pressure FI fuel hose.
Can I just buy a piece and cut out the piece that’s leaking and replace it with the right size hose?
I’m not considering this car to be drivable right now so any help offered will be much appreciated.
Is there a risk of it “blowing out” when/if I drive the car? Like I said, it’s just dripping right now.
Thanks.
