My trustworthy 94 940 has a problem I cannot figure out. Good maintenance over the last 10 yrs and 183K miles.

I took a road trip this week and suddenly it began to "surge"....losing power until it coasted to a stop, although the engine was still (barely) running. It would not pull the car. It died and would not restart. 10 minutes later it started normally and drove normally for another 60 miles.

Then, back on the interstate; same exact problem. Died and restarted 10 minutes later...drove like a new car for 150 miles home.

Only issue before and now is an occasional "stumble" while running....a 1 second loss of power then back to normal.

I checked the codes this morning and all were normal.

I will make another donation to the Brickboard if I get a diagnosis that will save me a shop visit. The BB has helped me with diagnosis several times before.
