I just had a used engine put in my car. It runs great, but hates to wake-up every day. It takes ten minutes of cranking and then several minutes of idling before it wants to go to work. I thought perhaps the fuel pump check valve...so I changed the pump/filter. Still a long time before it was getting the fuel.
Could I be looking at a "cold start valve" or a "fuel pressure regulator' problem????
Again, once it gets that first start out of the way it runs great...although a long time between runs means a few hiccups upon acceleration.
Thanks,
Mike
