Lining up wheels on face of cams after rebuilt head 900 1997

I just had the head of my '97 960 2.9L rebuilt by a local machine shop and they removed the cam wheels off of the front of the cams. They didn't mark them before removing and I need help lining them up to the cams!I haven't been able to find a repair manual available at a reasonable price which describes the head re-assembly in this sort of detail. The local Volvo dealer says that they just install whole new heads and the cam alignment tool I heard about is $500 so... I am at wits end. Any help out there?
